TL;DR

Your chats are processed entirely in your browser. We never see, store, or have access to your actual messages. Before any data leaves your device, all names are anonymized and sensitive information (credit cards, SSNs, addresses, etc.) is automatically removed. Results stay on your device and you can delete them anytime with one click. We take your privacy seriously.

1. What We Collect

When you use Unsaid, here's what happens with your data:

  • •Your chat file: Processed entirely in your browser. Never uploaded to our servers.
  • •Anonymized statistics: We send aggregate stats (message counts, word frequencies, timing patterns) to our AI. Names are replaced with "Person A" and "Person B".
  • •PII removal: Sensitive data like credit card numbers, SSNs, bank accounts, addresses, and phone numbers are automatically stripped before analysis.
  • •Basic analytics: We may collect anonymous usage data (page views, button clicks) to improve the service.

2. How We Process Data

Our privacy-first approach means:

  • •All chat parsing happens client-side using JavaScript in your browser
  • •Your original chat file is never transmitted over the internet
  • •Names are replaced with "Person A" and "Person B" before any data leaves your device
  • •Sensitive PII (credit cards, SSNs, bank accounts, passports, IP addresses, physical addresses) is automatically detected and removed
  • •Only anonymized, sanitized statistics are sent to our AI service for analysis
  • •Analysis results are stored only in your browser's local storage

3. Data Retention & Deletion

We don't retain your chat data because we never have it in the first place. Analysis results are stored only in your browser's local storage. We do not maintain any database of user chats or analysis results.

How to delete your data:

  • •In-app: Click "Clear All My Data" button on the results summary page
  • •Browser: Clear your browser's local storage or site data
  • •Automatic: Results expire and are deleted after 24 hours

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • •AI Analysis: We use AI services to generate relationship insights from anonymized data. These services process data according to their own privacy policies.
  • •Hosting: Our website is hosted on Vercel. They may collect standard server logs.

5. Your Rights

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We'll notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Unsaid after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
